PROFESSIONAL YEAR

The Professional Year (PY) Program is an excellent option for international students who have completed their studies at an Australian university and are seeking a pathway to employment and residency in Australia. The program is designed to provide job preparation training and equip participants with the necessary professional skills for a successful career in the Australian workforce.

The program offers practical training and work experience in various fields, including engineering, accounting, and IT. It also includes professional development workshops, networking opportunities, and industry-specific events to help participants gain insights into their chosen field.

Completing a Professional Year Program not only enhances your chances of securing employment in Australia but also provides an additional 5 points towards your Permanent Residency (PR) visa application. Internship

The Professional Year Program is an ideal option for Accounting, IT, and Engineering graduates seeking to enhance their skills and career prospects in Australia. This program allows participants to claim 5 points towards their point-based skilled migration visa application. With practical training and work experience, the Professional Year Program provides a pathway to success in the Australian workforce.

Eligibility for PY programme :

  • 485 visa (Graduate work/Post-study work)/ Bridging visa/Payment receipt for 485 visa application fees.

  • 485 visa validity:  12 months from the commencement of the PY course.

  • IELTS: overall 6 with no bands less than 6 or PTE: overall 50 with no bands less than 50

  • University completion letter verifying completion of the course and minimum 3 years study in Australia.

  • Assessment letter from the governing body (Accounting – SMIPA and Engineering PY)

  • Letter of assessment not required for IT PY (ACS professional year)

  • Offshore Engineering graduate may be eligible to complete professional year in Engineering on a 476 visa.

  • Copy of Passport (Photo page)

  • Current visa copy

  • Copy of IELTS or PTE report

  • Resume

  • Letter of assessment (Accounting PY)

  • All academic transcript and certificates

  • Completion letter from university
